OSL and Mastervoices join forces once again to present Bizet’s Carmen and The Gershwins’ Let ‘Em Eat Cake

Orchestra of St. Luke’s continues its partnership with the internationally-acclaimed MasterVoices–founded over 75 years ago by Robert Shaw—bringing together world-class voices to celebrate the arts of song and storytelling. This season, MasterVoices and OSL brings to New York two rarely-heard, yet familiar, works by four masters of the musical stage: the Gershwins’ Let ‘Em Eat Cake, the darker 1933 sequel to Of Thee I Sing, and Bizet’s Carmen, performed in Sheldon Harnick’s English-language translation. MasterVoices’s Artistic Director Ted Sperling conducts both concert productions.
