DANCE PERFORMANCES AT MANHATTAN SCHOOL OF MUSIC

The first complete presentation of all six of Taylor’s Bach dances, plus two world premieres set to Bach’s music by Pam Tanowitz and Margie Gillis in Paul Taylor Dance Company’s only New York City appearance in the winter/spring 2019 season. These performances to the memory of visionary American choreographer Paul Taylor (1930–2018).

CONCERTS AT CARNEGIE HALL

Three Thursdays of the Orchestra performing Bach, conducted by Bernard Labadie. Featuring guests soprano Lydia Teuscher and countertenor Benno Schachtner performing Bach’s arrangement of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, and the U.S. premiere of Labadie’s setting of Goldberg Variations for Baroque ensemble.

RECITALS AT THE DIMENNA CENTER FOR CLASSICAL MUSIC

Two immersive and intimate keyboard concerts, including with harpsichord virtuoso Pierre Hantaï performing the original Goldberg Variations and the first performance of Pedja Mužijević’s “Bach Dialogues,” juxtaposing keyboard works by Bach with contemporary compositions.
