Brian Thompson is a New York City based music teacher and freelance violist and violinist. As a teaching artist, Brian is especially equipped to bring to the classroom a breadth of ensemble experience ranging from orchestral, chamber music and opera to theater and television. Brian holds a masters in viola performance from The Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College and is slated to complete The School for Strings’ Suzuki Teacher Training Program in 2019. On faculty at The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music as well maintaining a private studio in Brooklyn, Brian is thrilled to join the faculty at the Youth Orchestra of St. Luke’s in the fall of 2018.
