ENDOWMENT FUND
The Endowment Fund for Orchestra of St. Luke’s assures the orchestra’s vitality now and in years to come. Through the artistic initiatives, education, and orchestral operations funds, the Fund for the Future helps OSL to bring the transcendent experience of live performance to people all around New York and beyond.
The Artist Initiatives Fund nurtures the spirit of innovation, imagination and creativity that is fundamental to OSL’s identity. By providing necessary funds for new projects and supporting the creation of new work, it gives OSL the opportunity to pursue noteworthy artistic opportunities as they arise.
The Education Endowment has allowed OSL to engage over one million school children through its arts education program, and enables it to continue to serve over 15,000 New York City public school children each year. Fully integrated into the public school curriculum, it is one of the largest and most successful programs in New York City. The program is largely funded through private contributions, and the Education Endowment generates a dependable base of annual support, allowing OSL to sustain its ongoing commitment to the children who need it the most.
The Orchestral Operations Fund enables OSL to present great artists in great performances throughout New York City and beyond. Every performance requires financial stability, and income from ticket sales covers only a fraction of the cost. Income from the Orchestral Operations Fund allows OSL to maintain its visibility and makes certain its ability to continue to engage in music-making of the highest order.
