BECOME A FRIEND OF ST. LUKE'S
Adams, Previn, Norrington and Slatkin are just a few of the world-class names you'll hear associated with St. Luke's. And with good reason! What other orchestra in New York takes you to Carnegie Hall with such exciting repertoire and passionate performances? Who else will you find playing great chamber music at the Morgan Library & Museum, Brooklyn Museum and Dia: Beacon? In these celebrated venues, the musicians of St. Luke's explore music from Bach and Handel to today's most exciting composers, many commissioned for our own new-music series. And now, through our new "St. Luke's Collection" CD label, we are able to reach more people with our music than ever before.
In addition to all those activities, don't forget the 20,000 children who attend our Arts Education performances and participate in our artist-led workshops at three New York City public schools, as well as our applied music programs, in which St. Luke's artists work one-on-one with student musicians.
The Orchestra of St. Luke's depends on the support of its friends - individuals like you - to bring audiences the superb performances they have come to expect. Most people don't realize that ticket income represents only a fraction of our total revenues for the year. The concerts you enjoy and the important programs for school children that St. Luke's presents are made possible by contributions from individuals and institutions that value great classical music.
As always, your membership in the Friends of St. Luke's guarantees you advance notice of our concerts, invitations to rehearsals and special meet-the-artist events, as well as complimentary tickets and discounts. But most importantly, you'll gain the satisfaction of knowing that your generosity is helping sustain and nurture one of the world's most innovative and versatile classical music organizations. St. Luke's is New York City's own chamber orchestra and we hope it is your personal favorite as well.

This brings me to the pleasure of working with the stylish Orchestra of St. Luke's, which is surely one of the most versatile orchestras on the planet. They exhibit enthusiasm and vitality for every project.

St. Luke's has the determination and entrepreneurial spirit that it takes to thrive for nearly 35 years. Our success is due in part to our lean and flexible structure where more than 85% of every dollar raised supports our performances and community outreach programs in and around New York City, a fact that we are very proud of. We prove time and time again that you don't have to be big to make an impact! But, we can't succeed without your help!
