FAQ's
Will people like me be there?
People from every background, age-group and walk of life come to our concerts. If you enjoy music in any form you will find something valuable, transformative and meaningful.
Do I need a music degree/background?
All you need are your ears. Music lovers don’t require a degree, just interest in enjoying great music performed by NY’s finest musicians.
What happens if I clap at the wrong time?
We may clap with you, and the musicians will be flattered. Don't sweat it – happens all the time.
Is it a good price? Convenient?
Between our Full Season Pass, FlexTix, Brooklyn/Dia Test Drive, free admission to partner museums, substantial discounts on our single-tickets and recordings and exclusive offers throughout the season, you're bound to get your money's worth - and you'll have plenty of options.
What if I can't find someone to accompany me?
Chime in to our exclusive 45 Below Ning network, Facebook or Twitter sites and see who else is going. You'd be surprised how many are in the same boat!
I have kids – any suggestions?
If the kids are over six, take them with you! Children and families are always welcome to our concerts. Kids under 12 can attend our concerts at Brooklyn Museum and Dia:Beacon for FREE and tickets include entry into the museums.
I would like to catch Orchestra of St. Luke's at Carnegie. Does my membership apply?
By all means come hear us at Carnegie! While the 45 Below membership doesn’t apply to these concerts, check out Club 57th & 7th , Carnegie Hall's own young member program or take advantage of Carnegie's popular student rush discounts.
How do I get to the concerts?
Public transportation is available for all of our performances. Visit our Concert Venues page to get links to directions and parking information from each of our venues.
What if I’m not able to attend?
While ticket sales are final and non-refundable, consider returning them as a tax-deductible donation. By donating your tickets, you give another music lover the opportunity to hear a concert that would often otherwise be sold out. You also enable the performers to play to a full house. To donate your tickets, just call (212) 594-6100.
A little culture won’t hurt you… and you’ll look fabulous all dressed up!
