Subway Series: Brooklyn

Featuring chamber music by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, considered one of the first, finest, and most significant classical composers of African descent. Includes performances by Kareem M. Lucas (of The Classical Theatre of Harlem), bringing Saint-Georges’s fascinating biography to life.

Includes: 

Pre-Concert Workshops: Your Stories and Music: Orchestra of St. Luke’s teaching artists collaborate with kids and parents to write stories about their communities and to experience them coming to life through song. (45 minutes)

Food Drive: Each venue will have City Harvest collection boxes. Bring non-perishable food to help New York City’s hungry and homeless.

Pre-Concert Workshop starts at 5:00 PM.
