PAUL TAYLOR AMERICAN MODERN DANCE

March 2018 at Lincoln Center with
Orchestra of St. Luke's

Two essential New York institutions—Paul Taylor American Modern Dance and Orchestra of St. Luke’s —continue their revelatory partnership in these spirited performances at Lincoln Center. Experience the electric power of dance accompanied by live music as OSL provides the “breath of life” (The New York Times), animating Taylor’s renowned work.

Paul Taylor continues to shape America’s indigenous art of modern dance since becoming a professional dancer and pioneering choreographer in 1954. Having performed with Martha Graham’s company for several years, Mr. Taylor uniquely bridges the legendary founders of modern dance – Isadora Duncan, Ruth St. Denis, Ted Shawn, Doris Humphrey and Ms. Graham – and the dance makers of the 21st Century with whom he is now working.
