All Became Golden: Film Screening & Performance with Essie Jain
Singer-songwriter Essie Jain returns to The DiMenna Center for Classical Music—where her highly-acclaimed film album All Became Golden was recorded—for the premiere public screening of this ground-breaking project.

The unique visual album documents Essie Jain, composer/arranger Nico Muhly, and musicians from New York’s modern-classical scene, as they rehearse and record live in front of a studio audience—allowing a rare glimpse of the joy, risk, generosity, and blind faith inherent in acts of creative collaboration.

The evening continues with a special live performance of the album’s haunting, elegant songs, backed by members of Orchestra of St. Luke’s, followed by a conversation with Essie and filmmaker Natalie Johns.

PERFORMERS
Essie Jain, singer
Krista Bennion Feeney, violin
Daire FitzGerald, cello
John Feeney, double bass
Halldór Smárason, piano
