Recordings
Recordings have documented St. Luke's exceptional artistry, introducing the Orchestra and Chamber Ensemble to national and international audiences. In the spring of 2003, St. Luke's inaugurated its own recording label, St. Luke's Collection, with the release of Mozart's Symphonies 39 and 41 "Jupiter." In December 2003, St. Luke's released the complete Brandenburg Concertos on its label. St. Luke's has also recorded on the Sony, EMI, Deutsche Grammophon, Elektra/Nonesuch, BMG, London/Decca, Telarc, and Arabesque labels. A discography of over 65 recordings includes three Grammy Award-winning releases for Elektra/Nonesuch: Bel Canto, featuring soprano Renee Fleming, John Adams' Nixon in China, and Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with Dawn Upshaw. Recent recordings include: Vivaldi's The Four Seasons with Kyung Wha Chung on EMI; A Classic Tale: Music For Our Children on Deutsche Grammophon with conductor James Levine; and Haydn's Symphonies 6, 7, and 8 on Arabesque.
